| Hiking towards Monte Cauriol |

This Sunday Sherri and I decided to go up the Alps and do some hiking. The idea was to go up Monte Cauriol but we actually just hiked a couple of hours at its foot. The weather was perfect and we loved the scenery of the Alps and the coolness of the area (about 8 Celsius lower than the temperature in Padova, wow !)
Next time we'll get to the top of that mountain, i swear. It's about 9,000 ft. high and the hiking trail starts at 3,000 ft.

The Monte Cauriol is part of the Lagoraie mountains complex in the Alps. It's about 2 hour drive from Padova. Best way to get there is go after Bassano del Grappa in the SS Valsugana towards Trento, exit to Arsie' and Feltre, keep the main road and turn left to Fonzaso (about half way to Feltre) and Canal San Bovo. Before getting to Canal SanBovo turn left to Caoria and keep going till the Rifugio Refavaie. From there walk to Rifugio Cauriol and take the way up to the top of the mountain.
